Our Environment & Sustainability Policy

Synergy Hardware is a leading supplier of architectural hardware, supplying products for commercial, public, hospitality and residential buildings in the UK and abroad. The business delivers high-quality door hardware imported and certificated under the Synergy Hardware brand.

As a responsible UK business, we will strive to adhere to the following commitments;

  • To operate in a manner following all applicable environmental legislation and other requirements that are required by law.
  • To set objectives and targets to drive continuous improvement.
  • We will ensure that all people who work for and on behalf of the organisation are aware of this policy and are trained in their environmental responsibilities.
  • We will encourage our staff to foster low-impact environmental behaviour, for example by promoting car-sharing, the use of public transport, cycle-to-work, and supporting working from home where practical subject to business exigencies.
  • In all of our operations, we will aim for 100% service and quality, which in turn reduces wasteful rework and redelivery costs and thereby impact on the environment.
  • The business will always seek to supply products with the longest economical life cycle cost, thereby reducing wasteful maintenance and replacement activity.
  • Any product returned to the business at the end of its serviceable life cycle will be de- polluted and recycled in a responsible manner to reduce impact on the environment.
  • The company will continue to target a reduction in electricity and gas consumption and
    monitor usage across the site and will aim to be as energy efficient as possible.
  • We will constantly review our packaging choices, seeking to use recyclable materials wherever possible with the long-term goal of removing plastic usage in all product packaging.
  • The company supports the adoption of similar standards and commitment by its customers and suppliers.

 

This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis by the Management Team to ensure compliance and to seek improvements wherever possible and/or necessary.
